APSDCI to hold two dog shows

MANILA, Philippines - The Asia Pacific Sporting Dog Club Inc. (APSDCI), a newly formed dog club affiliated with the Asian Kennel Club Union of the Philippines, Inc. (AKCUPI), fires the opening salvo of its calendar of events with its first and second All-Breed Championship Shows on Sunday at Tiendesitas in Pasig.

Presented in cooperation with Tiendesitas en Frontera Verde, Vitality, Alpo, Smartheart, Frontline-Merial and Eukanuba, the dog shows will feature seven breed groupings – herding, sporting, terrier, toy, non-sporting, working and hound.

There will be four judges. John Lo from Thailand and Mike Buenaflor from the Philippines who will select the winner of the most coveted title, the best in shows.

 Ed Cruz and Fe Lanny Alegado, also from the Philippines, will adjudge the best from among the seven breed groupings.

According to APSDCI officers Nancy Sia, president, Dinky Ang, VP, and Jeanie Mendoza, treasurer, the shows’ sidelights are picture booth, dog fashion show by BabyMoon (Maita Lu), agility demo by MJ Domingo featuring the Labrador Retriever KC and Jack Russel Terrier Jack-Jack, Mondio/Obedience/Personal Protection by Judy Lapiten.
