- Joey Villar, Nelson Beltran -

MANILA, Philippines - Three teams have formally agreed to a multi-player trade deal, allowing Kerby Raymundo to realize his wish to join the Barangay Ginebra Kings.

The names of JC Intal, Ronald Tubid, Reil Cervantes and Dylan Ababou are also listed in the trade papers that B-Meg, Barangay Ginebra and Barako Bull have forwarded to the PBA Commissioner’s Office for its approval.

If approved, Raymundo and Ababou move over to Ginebra, Intal transfers to B-Meg while Tubid and Cervantes land at Barako Bull.

The Llamados also get a future pick from Air21 (formerly Shopinas) previously traded to Barako Bull while a future Ginebra draft rights go with Tubid and Cervantes in their transfer to Barako.

At press time, PBA media bureau chief Willie Marcial said league commissioner Chito Salud was still studying whether the transaction is fair to all parties.

Raymundo was already excused in their practice session at B-Meg yesterday morning, same with Intal, Tubid and Cervantes at Ginebra.

“Kerby’s happy with the news. After 10 years with B-Meg, he’s looking forward to play under a new system and to be with new teammates,” said Danny Espiritu, the agent/manager of Raymundo.

“He’s excited to play with guys like Mark Caguioa and Jayjay Helterbrand,” Espiritu added.

Ginebra will be Raymundo’s third team after the original Red Bull team and B-Meg.

Intal, the high-flying former Ateneo star, will also be in his third team after Air21 and Barangay Ginebra.

Tubid is moving back to the Lina Group ball club and will be reunited with former teammates Willie Miller and Jimbo Aquino.
