World Slasher finals under way
MANILA, Philippines - The World Slasher Cup holds the first of two finals today with more than 100 matches on tap, headed by Group A top finishes Wilson Ong, Nestor Vendivil and Rikki Reyes at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Hosted by the Pintakasi of Champions, the 50th staging of the annual event, co-presented by Thunderbird Romoxtyl and Thunderbird Ganador Max with BMeg as minor sponsor, will start at 2 p.m.
Meanwhile, two-time champion Rey Briones’ Spartans Palawan and Spartans Cuyo scored four wins and three points, respectively, to lead the cast in the Group B finals set tomorrow.
