Phl team competes in Asean Para Games

MANILA, Philippines - Arnel Aba, the 2010 Asian Para Games two-time gold and four-time silver medalist, and four-time silver medalist Daniel Damaso banner the Speedo-backed national swim team vying in the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) Para Games in Solo, Indonesia.

“Given their good performance at the 2010 Asian Para Games, we are positive that our swimmers will again perform well and take home medals at the ASEAN competition,” said Tony Ong, coach of the five-man team.

The other members of the squad in the event, which features 11 sports for differently-abled athletes are Ernie Gawilan, Remegio Lobos and Beariza Roble.

The team is headed by Philippine Swimming Inc.’s coach Ral Rosario.
