LS-Dasma, RTU boost semis bids
MANILA, Philippines - Defending champion La Salle-Dasmariñas and Rizal Technological University whipped their respective rivals yesterday to shore up their semifinal drive in the 19th National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) women’s volleyball tournament in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
The Lady Patriots defeated the Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite Lady Vanguards, 25-18, 25-20, 25-18, at the Ugnayang La Salle gym for their second win in three games.
The RTU Lady Thunder, on the other hand, turned back the Philippine School of Business Administration Jaguars, 21-25, 25-14, 25-11, 25-8, in the other game.
The wins moved the Lady Patriots and the Lady Thunder in contention for the top two semifinals slots.
The Lady Patriots beat the Lady Thunder, 16-25, 25-15, 25-18, 15-25, 15-11, last Thursday.
