288 dispute title in Wack Wack President's Cup

MANILA, Philippines - The 11th President’s Cup, one of Wack Wack’s Golf and Country Club’s premier tournaments honoring its incumbent head, unwraps today with a banner field of 288 disputing top honors in various divisions at WW’s West Course.

A wide array of prizes is up for grabs in the 18-hole tournament featuring a number of dignitaries, corporate bigwigs, club members and guests with competitions tapped in Groups I, II and III and seniors in the men’s division and Groups I and II for the ladies and guest categories.

There will be two sets of shotgun start tee-off at 6:30 a.m. and 12 noon with the event to use the Double Peoria scoring system, according to Wack Wack’s Sports and Games committee chairman Eddie Gobing

Ten grand raffle prizes, 32 major items and over a hundred minor prizes will be given away to the members and president’s guests who have confirmed their participation in the tournament held in honor of Dr. Philip Ella Juico

A brand-new Chrysler 300C from Cats Motors Phils; a Vios J from Toyota Balintawak, a golf cart from the Turf Company, a Vespa motorcycle from 10-10-10, a set of golf irons from Dynamic Sports, and drivers and golf items from Great Depot Inc. are staked as hole-in-one prizes in the event backed by premier hole sponsors Pacific on Line Corp. and Northern Islands Co. Inc.

A round trip ticket for two to the US and Taipei, courtesy of China Airlines, will also be raffled off as grand prize during awards rites of the tournament sponsored by Araneta Center Inc., Avesco, EagleSky Technology Amusement, Inc., Land Registration Systems, Inc., Stradcom Corp., Madrigal Bayot Development Corp., Metro Pacific Investments Corp., San Miguel Corp., Social Security System and Excellent Golfing Partners.
