Southwoods Chairman's Cup under way

MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club holds its Chairman’s Charity Cup today with a banner field featuring members and their guests clashing for top honors in various divisions at the Legends and Masters courses in Carmona, Cavite.

A brand-new Mitsubishi Lancer Ex GLX M/T and an Alaska cruise (with airfare) are up for grabs for hole-in-one feats in the two-day event ending tomorrow held in honor of Southwoods chair Bob Sobrepeña.

Other prizes staked for aces in the annual event backed by major sponsors Warbid Securities and Resorts World are SYM Motorbike and air-conditioner (2 HP split type). If no one scores an ace, the four prizes will be raffled off among around 400 players during awards rites tomorrow.

Meanwhile, a Wilson golf set from Wilson Sports, a Texas Eagle golf cart from The Turf Co. and a Club Car from Pacsports Phils. are offered exclusively for hole-in-one feats in the event to be played under the Modified Stableford scoring system.
