Southern Cal shuttlershold tilt for 'Damayan'

MANILA, Philippines - More than a hundred players from Southern California’s various badminton clubs will compete in a badminton fund-raiser on Dec. 3 as part of The Philippine STAR Operation Damayan’s outreach program.

Dubbed as “Go Bad for Good: Go Play Badminton for a Good Cause”, the tournament, sponsored by Yonex USA, aims to raise funds for poor children in the Philippines and Africa. The tournament is being organized by a group of badminton players in Los Angeles that call themselves Go Badminton, headed by Eric Go, in cooperation with the Southern California Badminton Association (SCBA).

Other badminton groups backing the event are the Philippine Badminton Club of America (PBCA), Arcadia Badminton Club, Southern Crew, Thousand Oaks Badminton Club, Woodshots Badminton Club, LA Valley Badminton Club, Las Vegas Badminton Club, San Gabriel Valley Badminton Club and Long Beach Badminton Club.
