Veteran car racer supports anti-smoking fun run

MANILA, Philippines - Multiple Philippine GT and Touring Car champion Alvin Ng takes his anti-smoking advocacy to the next level by joining “Kick the Habit 2: Love and Run to a Healthy Lifestyle” on Nov 26 at Quirino Grandstand.

Ng is a member of the Board of Directors, Kick the Habit Foundation Inc., organizer of the event.

Joining him are other officers of the Kick the Habit Foundation Inc., like Ronald de los Reyes, Jojo Toledo, Virginia Fenger, Lana Roi, Alvin Anson, Cesar Montano and more than 2,000 running enthusiasts and health advocates. The fun run has four distances, 1K, 3K, 5K and 10K. Assembly time is 4 a.m. Gun start is at 6 a.m.

“Our anti-smoking and health campaign do not end with the Nov. 26 run. We have lined up several activities like concerts, health seminars, running clinics and various events in the Visayas, Mindanao and overseas. We hope to get more people involved,” says Alvin.

The race registration kit includes 20 running sessions by the country’s top winning coaches and athletes, 10 health seminars conducted by health experts from Healthway Medical, one singlet, one raffle ticket and Kick the Habit medal.
