Cheng, Figuracion top ABC monthly

MANILA, Philippines - Jun Cheng of Famcor Glassworks turned in a six-game series of 1225 to cop the Group 1 crown while Francis Figuracion of Crown PVC Pipes took the Group 2 title with a 1088 in the Architects Bowling Club’s monthly championship at E Lanes Bowling Center in Greenhills, Ortigas last week.

Ruben Mina of Duraflex THHN Wires had 1101 to place second, Boyet Libiran of Concrete Ventures rolled 1100 for third while Lito Zubiri of Duraflex THN Wires scored 1095 for third in Group I of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Malou del Rosario of Firefly-Royu had a 1068, Bert Magsakay of Homeworks shot 1017, and Edwin Laguitan of ABC Phl made a 999 for second, third and fourth places, respectively, in Group 2.

The tournament, backed by Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., August Alliance, Morning Sun, ProActive Pest Control, HCG Phl, Miraga Trading, Eurodach, Boysen Perlecente/Knoxout/Suede, Philflex Wires and Cables, Unitec Pipes, Duraflex TW Wires, DN Steel, Moldex Pipes, Atlanta Pipes, Emerald Pipes, Crown Pipes Supreme and La Vida Verde, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the leg circuit championship, also at E Lanes.
