Pacman-Marquez III rakes in over $11 million

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez III showdown generated a total of $11,648,300 in live gate receipts, according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), which supervised the bout.

NSAC head Keith Kizer said the figure ranks ninth overall in the state of Nevada.

A total of 15,497 tickets were sold at the MGM Grand, the venue of the title fight last Saturday.

Kizer said the Pacquiao-Marquez III fight sold the most tickets for a boxing match since the May 5, 2007 showdown between Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
