AKCUPI dog shows slated at Tiendesitas

MANILA, Philippines - The Asian Kennel Club Union of the Philippines, Inc. (AKCUPI) caps its yearlong events with the 47th and 48th International All-Breed Dog Shows on Sunday at Tiendesitas, Ortigas Ave. cor. E. Rodriguez Jr. Ave. (C-5), Pasig City.

The shows will be adjudicated by Jung Yong Woon of the Korean Kennel Club (KKC) and Tsai Ching Nien of the Taiwan Kennel Association (TKA).

Jung is a licensed International All Breed judge of the Korean Kennel Club and the Kennel Club Union of Asia with grooming and trimming and show handling as his expertise. 

A director of the Korean Kennel Club Judges Licensing and Handler Committee, Jung is a licensed Shop Master of the Kennel Club, and an eminent professor of grooming in several universities in Korea such as the Kongju Communication Art College, Daegu Polytechnic College, Daegu Keimyung College, and Jeonju Kijeon Women’s College. He completed the four-level Groomer’s Course at the Bookteck College New South Wale Australia. Jung had officiated various shows in Korea and in China under the China Kennel Club.

Tsai, on the other hand, started his dog world career in 1981 when he fed one Doberman pinscher to enter the dog breeding industry. Since then, he made many champions of all-breed dogs. He is currently focused on the proliferation of Shetland Sheepdog. His judging stints as CKA judge since 2000 took him to China, Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong.
