'In This Corner' features Doronio-Martinez

MANILA, Philippines - Boxing afficionados get another dose of top-notch boxing as Rod Nazario’s In This Corner airs two recent fights held at the Ynares Plaza gym in Binangonan, Rizal tonight over NBN-4. Al Rivera and Marc Minguillan battle in a four-round super-featherweight preliminary bout presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and Petron.

The main bout of the 7-8 p.m. boxing show, now on its 11th year, will have Leonardo Doronio taking on Freddie Martinez in a 10-round match also fought at the super-featherweight class.

The twin fight caps a busy day for Filipino boxers that saw ring superstar Manny Pacquiao defends his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title earlier against Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez.
