Segui leads ABC monthly winners

MANILA, Philippines - Buddy Segui of Emerald Pipes rolled a six-game series of 1342 to cop the Group I crown while Zeny Prudente of Moldex Pipes topped Group 2 with a 1046 in the Architects Bowling Club’s monthly championship at E Lanes, Ortigas Ave., San Juan last week.

Noel del Rosario of Boysen Perlecente finished second with 1283 followed by Bibs Luzande of Miraga (1270) and Ruben Mina of Duraflex THHN Wires (1247) in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Boy Roldan (1037) of Philflex Wires, Jimmy Ocampo (1027) of Duraflex TW Wires and Albert Ong (997) of Boysen Knoxout placed second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 2.

Meanwhile, ABC Manila has chartered ABC Davao City as its latest member during awards rites of the joint Vis-Min tournament at the B-3 Bowling Center, NCCC Mall in Davao City last Saturday.

ABC president Noel del Rosario, together with ABC board and ABC Cebu Chapter president Bing Avila, inducted the ABC Davao Chapter first set of board of directors headed by president-elect Rameses Tancontian with Jean Marie Villamor-Juanga (VP admin), Erickson Europa (VP tournament), Michael Jed Madrazo (secretary), Art Aguilos (treasurer), Clyde Verga (auditor), Arnel Villacampa (PRO) and directors Salvador Sandoval, Ever Rabaya and Camilo Quisod.

The Davao City bets dominated the master’s singles with Salvador Sandoval winning the crown followed by Ram Tancontian, Ever Rabaya, Macoy Bermudez and Aiken dela Cruz.

Violy Magsakay and Michael Cenita rolled a 724 to bag the doubles plum while Rabaya and Cenita had 723 for second. Tancontian and Norman Vincent Somosot scored 694 for third.

Tancontian, Ricky Martinez and Bert Magsakay combined for 1161 to cop the team crown. Rabaya, Violy Magsakay and Evan Torollo rolled 1099 for second while Boyet Libiran, Art Aguilos and Bermudez placed third with 1011.

The tournament was backed by Boysen Paints as major sponsor and Jonzlibz Building System and Janross Glass and Tint Trading (silver sponsor) and Du-Arc Steel and Supply Co. (bronze sponsor).
