MANILA, Philippines - The University of Batangas completed its sweep of the eliminations and advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA South hosted by First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) last season.

On their way to the Final 4, The UB Brahmans bested the PCU Dasmariñas (100-60), Dela Salle-Lipa (82-71), 2010 champion University of Perpetual Help System-Laguna (81-71), Colegio San Juan de Letran-Calamba (70-67), LPU-Batangas (72-52), Faith (75-71), San Beda Alabang (72-70), San Pablo College (80-62) and Don Bosco Technical College-Mandaluyong (64-61).

UB thus took the top seeding in the Final 4 starting tomorrow, with UPHSL second, San Beda Alabang third and Don Bosco Technical College Mandaluyong fourth.

The Brahman cagers regularly compete in five sports tournaments – North Batangas Open League (NBOL), Universities, Schools, Colleges Athletic Association (USCAA), NCAA South, Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) and the Friendship Solidarity Cup (FSC).

The Brahmans will also participate in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL) set Nov. 11-13 in Naga City.

This has been a very promising season for the Brahmans since winning the FSC back-to-back in February and the USCAA crown last month. The Brahman cagers have remained unbeaten under the stewardship of coach Carmelo Alas.
