Gameville eyes No. 3 in Burlington caging

MANILA, Philippines - Gameville Los Pasigueños and POW clash today in a duel of unbeaten teams as action in the first Burlington Life Begins@40 basketball tournament resumes at Brgy. Bangkal gym in Makati.

Gameville trounced Biñan and Big J Sporting Goods in one-sided fashions to match POW’s hot start in the Biofresh 40-and-above division of the two-category tournament. The POW cagers also defeated Big J and Burlington.

Alvin Medina and Joel Jabar are expected to lead Gameville’s charge while POW will pin its hopes again on the tandem of Paul Lorca and Allan Miranda in the featured contest at 3 p.m.

 Biñan and Cogeo, meanwhile, battle Burlington and Big J Sporting Goods at 12 noon and 1:30 p.m., respectively, both looking for their second win in three games in the tournament sponsored by Burlington and backed by Business Mirror and Malaya Business Insight.

In the Shock XT 50-and-above class, POW goes for its third win in row as it takes on Sun Moon/Electrobyte at 5 p.m. while Paco Catholic School 74 and DIvina Law/Brgy Bangkal collide in the main game at 6:30 p.m.

Behind Nilo Mangila, Genaro Agaton and Felix Tabunda, POW (50) topped PCS74 and Divina Law to show the way in the tournament organized by Total Events and Athlete Management (TEAM).
