Gymnasts, karatekas in Forum

MANILA, Philippines - The gymnastics and karate teams bound for the SEA Games next month join two other guests appearing in today’s session of the PSA Forum at Shakey’s UN Avenue.

Speaking in behalf of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) are president Cynthia Carrion, together with the coaches and athletes seeing action in the Nov. 12-22 meet, while karatedo will be represented by Philippine Karatedo Federation (PKF) secretary-general Raymund Lee, national coach David Lay, together with members of the team.

Both associations were originally scheduled to appear in last week’s session that was cancelled at the last minute due to typhoon “Pedring.”

Also making up the guests list in the weekly Tuesday session aired live over DZSR Sports Radio 918 and presented by Smart, Pagcor, Outlast Battery and Shakey’s are Ronald Suarez, sustainable development manager of Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Alexander Dinoy, tournament director of Shell Active Chess, which holds its grand finals on Oct. 8-9.

Rounding up the busy forum is the guesting of the finalists in the last leg of the Petron Ladies beach volleyball tournament, whose prime organizer, former sports commissioner Tisha Abundo, will accompany the lovely participants in the 10:30 a.m. public sports program.
