Mexican boxers vow win vs Pinoys

-

CEBU, Philippines  – They may hold their Filipino counterparts in high esteem, but this is a mere compliment for one-time world challenger Francisco Rosas and the rest of Team Mexico who seek an impressive win in tomorrow’s “Pinoy Pride 8: Philippine vs Mexico” at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Rosas, 31, who once fought for the World Boxing Association (WBA) minimumweight championship, is up against unbeaten Filipino Milan Melindo in the main event of the popular boxing series organized by ALA Promotions in cooperation with giant network ABS-CBN.

Sporting a 22-8 record with 13 KOs, Rosas proclaimed how he’s going to inflict Melindo’s first ever career loss.

“I never get hurt in my fights. I’m going to hurt Melindo,” said Rosas during the final press conference at the Waterfront Hotel.
