SBC Red Lions VS EAC Generals
After tasting their first defeat, well-rested San Beda Red Lions vented their ire on Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals with a ghastly 118-64 rout today NCAA Season 87 at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Coming off a heartbreaking 70-68 loss to unbeaten San Sebastian Golden Stags two weeks ago, the Lions roared back into the win column and continued their mastery of the Generals.
So dominant were the Lions that their margin of victory was the biggest since the Generals lost to the Stags by 46 points, 109-63, in the second round of eliminations back in 2009.
This also marked the third time that the Generals have lost to the Lions by at least 40 points.
Garvo Lanete and Rome dela Rosa presided over the rout as the San Beda’s backcourt duo scored 23 and 15 points, respectively and dished out identical four assists. Jess Villahermosa also sparkled as he came off the bench to contribute 13 points and two assists for the Lions, who improved to 10-1 behind the Stags’ 11-0 record.
The Generals, who got 14 points from Emilian Vargas, limped to their ninth loss in 12 games.- Latest
