KidzHoops conference tourney slated

MANILA, Philippines - KidzHoops, the longest running organized community sports for kids 14 years and under, will hold its leveling for the third conference on Sept. 11.

Tournament organizer Eva Celestino said registration is at 9 a.m. and will be on a first-come-first-served basis at the WWCC Basketball Courts (formerly StarMall annex), Shaw blvd. Mandaluyong.

The tournament proper starts on Oct. 2 at the RFM Gym, Pioneer St. also in Mandaluyong.

“Our goal is to provide recreational opportunities for the youth in a safe and organized environment,” said Celestino. “In addition we aim to provide quality instructions while promoting the positive effects of physical fitness and exercise, along with good sportsmanship and conduct through games. Learning is easy when you are having fun!”

Pre-registration is now open to all boys and girls aged 8-14. Awards and medals can be earned in the three age groups, all-Sunday tournament which will be officiated by certified referees and qualified table officials from UP-CHK.
