Magnolia rapid chess up Sept. 3
MANILA, Philippines - The 44nd edition of the first Saturday Magnolia Beverages rapid chess tournament gets underway Sept. 3 at the Perez Bldg., Doña Soledad Ave., Cor Australia St., Better Living Subd., Parañaque.
The tournament is open to all untitled and rated players whose club rating shall not exceed 1950 below.
The champion will receive P3,000 plus elegant trophy, the runner-up P2,000 plus trophy, and the third placer P1,000 plus trophy.
The event is being organized by Barangay Don Bosco Chess Club, headed by Bong Perez, and sponsored by NCFP secretary general and Tagaytay City Mayor Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, Rep. Roilo Golez, Councilor Eric Olivarez, Councilor Baby Bustamante, Kgwd. Chona Navarro, Hector Tagaysay of Filway Marketing, Daniel “Boy” Francisco (SpareStrike) Red Ribbon Bakeshop, Tileland (Betterliving)Shakey’s Pizza, Ginos Canteen (Cabual Family) and Magnolia Beverages Healthy drinks.
Registration fee is P250 (regular) and P150 (kiddies).
