PSC, paddlers meet on SEAG cast

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) has invited the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation to a meeting next week to discuss the composition of the national team seeing action in the SEA Games in Indonesia in November.

Representatives from the Philippine Olympic Committee, the Philippine Canoe-Kayak Federation (PCKF) and the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation (PDBF) as well as from the Office of Rep. Mark Aeron Sambar of the Party-list Pambansang Bayaning Atleta will join the meeting on Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. at the PSC Boardroom.

The meeting was set following the congressional hearing last Aug. 18 called by House Committee on Youth and Sports Development chairman Renato Unico.

Members of the PDBF, which won five golds and two silvers in Tampa, Florida last week, are seeking POC recognition as a national sports association independent from the PCKF.
