Cruz, David top architects golf

MANILA, Philippines - Willy Cruz scored 37 Stableford points to capture the Group I crown while Romeo David also shot 37 points to pocket the Group II plum in the Architects Golf Club monthly tournament at the Palmer Course of the Orchard Golf and Country Club in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

Cesar Lim made 36 points while Andres Vasquez had 34 to finish second and third, respectively, in Group I while Jun Bonifacio shot 34 points and nipped Manny Lozano in the countback for runner-up honors in Group II.

Ed Casares carded 37 points then edged Buddy Segui in the countback to top the Group III in the tournament sponsored by Boysen Paints and backed by Emerald, JME Supreme Int’l., Koten, Megacem, Inc.-Holcim, Excellence Appliance (Whirlpool-Fujidenzp-Glem), Expert Interior, Famcor Glassworks, Glasstemp Industries Corp., Hocheng Phils., Corp. and Hunter Douglas.

Mario Nabor made 36 points to place third.

Joy Arcenas lorded it over the Group IV field with 29 points, beating Medeliano Roldan and Leonardo Antonio, who had 24 and 23 points, respectively.

Nestor Reyes ruled the seniors division with 39 points, besting Alex Balce, who had 37 while Nepthy del Rosario finished third with 36 points.
