Puregold, Alas team up for cage clinic

MANILA, Philippines - Puregold and Louie Alas have linked up to put up a basketball camp designed not only to polish the kids’ talent and skills but also to impart values such as sportsmanship, hard work and team play.

Dubbed the Puregold-Louie Alas Basketball Camp, it aims to further enhance the children’s enjoyment of the game by providing them with necessary fundamentals that will eventually lead to good basketball habits.

Unlike other camps that focus only on teaching the technical aspect of the sport, the Puregold-Louie Alas Basketball Camp will also seek to impart values such as sportsmanship, hard work and team play – virtues that play a key role off the hard court.

It is never too early to begin skills training as long as the trainors are well equipped and competent just like the staff of the veteran Letran mentor.

Alas has steered many teams to championships, including Letran in the NCAA (1998, 2003 and 2005), Manila Metrostars in the 1999 MBA, the Philippine team in the Brunei SEA Games and the Philippine Patriots in the 2010 ASEAN Basketball League (ABL).
