Student rapid chess up at Alphaland Mall

MANILA, Philippines - A student rapid chess tournament gets underway on July 31 at the third floor, Food Court, Alphaland Southgate Mall, Chino Roces Ave. Ext., Makati.

The tournament is divided into three divisions – elementary, high school and all women. The elementary and high school division offers the same cash prize of P3,000 plus trophy for the champion, P2,000 plus medal for second place, P1,000 plus medal for third, P700 for fourth, P500 for fifth place and while P300 for the Top 10 years old-and-under and Top 14 years old-and-under category.

In all women division, the champion will receive P3,500 plus trophy, second place P2,000 plus medal, third P1,500 plus medal, fourth P1,000, and fifth P500.

All participants are required to present their school identification card or school registration certified by their school registrar or principal.

Registration fee is P200 in all divisions. The event is organized by Basham Sports and Games Shop in cooperation with the Alphaland Southgate Mall, venue sponsor.
