Ateneo Golf Foundation holds tourney

MANILA, Philippines - The Ateneo Golf Foundation will stage an 18-hole tournament on Aug. 5 at the South Course of Valley Golf and Country Club with the proceeds earmarked for the foundation’s Sholarship fund drive.

Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. and tee-off times set from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The tournament will also serve as part of the Moro Lorenzo Memorial Golf Series, supported by the family of the late Luis “Moro” Lorenzo.

Hole-in-one prizes include golf carts from Club Car and Texas Eagle. Additional hole-in-one prizes are golf sets with cart bags from Callaway, Mizuno and Tourstage. Also up for grabs are Foot Joy Golf shoes and Titleist Golf balls from Empire Golf Store at SM Megamall in the special games. Attractive raffle prizes will also be at stake.

Funds earned from the event will be used to help defray the expenses of the foundation’s current scholars, one of whom is on the dean’s list who bannered their team to the college division championship in a recently concluded intercollegiate golf tournament.
