Javier, Martinez top ABC quarterly

MANILA, Philippines - Ronnie Javier of Moldex Pipes turned in an eight-game series of 1778 to cop the Group I crown while Ricky Martinez of Famcor took the Group 2 title with 1485 in the Architects Bowling Club’s quarterly championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Denis Jalandoon of Duraflex scored 1716, Jun Cheng of Famcor made a 1708 and Manny Padit of Philflex Wires and Cables had 1670 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group I in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Jimmy Ocampo of Duraflex THHN Wires had 1484, Randy Poon of Duraflex THW came up with 1472 and Boy Roldan of Philflex Wires turned in a 1448 to place second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 2.

The tournament, backed by Boysen Perlecente/Knoxout/Suede, Crown Pipes Supreme, Nation Paints, Emerald Pipes Atlanta Pipes, Homeworks, DN Steel, ABC Phl, Unitec Pipes, Firefly-Royu, Euro Dach, Crown PVC Pipes, Miraga Trading, HCG Phl, Concrete Ventures, ProActive Pest Control, Morning Sun, August Alliance and Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., resumes at 6:30 tonight with the staging of fun games, also at the Green Valley lanes to be followed by the second quarterly awards night at Mozzaico Showroom at 84 E. Rodriguez Ave., Libis, Quezon City.
