Travel woes strand Talk n Text in Dubai

MANILA, Philippines - Due to travel arrangement mix-up, Talk n Text was stranded for a few hours in Dubai on its way back to the Philippines.

The Tropang Texters were bumped off the same Gulf Air flight booked for the whole PBA delegation en route back to Manila.

The delegation arrived in Manila at 6 last night. By that time, the Tropang Texters had left Dubai on different flights.

“Up to the last hour, we’re meeting with the organizers and the travel agent just to make sure that all the teams would come home with us. That’s the main concern of our office. The fact that Talk n Text was not accommodated came really as a surprise as we’re assured that everybody would be on board,” said PBA commissioner Chito Salud.

The league commissioner promised to get into the bottom of this thing in due time.

“In the meantime, let this not deter the huge success of the two games we played. We should commend the three teams for the sacrifice of flying over to Dubai which is not a near place just for the purpose of entertaining our fellow Filipinos there,” said Salud.

The two PBA games played at the Al Shabab Sports Club drew sell-out crowd.
