Manila, Philippines - Grandmaster Wesley So settled for a draw with Chinese GM Hou Yifan after 47 moves of Catalan Opening for solo fourth in the ninth and penultimate round of the Airports Authority of India GM tournament in New Delhi Saturday.

So tallied 4.5 points for solo fourth in the Category 17 chess tournament. Czech GM Viktor Laznicka toppled Italian GM Fabiano Caruana after 40 moves of Semi-Slav defense for third place with 5.0 points. Caruana remains on top, ahead of Indian GM Krishnan Sasikiran.

Who tote 5.5 points. Sasikiran halved the point with countryman Indian GM Parimarjan Negi (Elo 2622) after 48 moves of Slav Defense.

In the tenth and final round, Caruana versus So, Hou versus Sasikiran and Negi opposite Laznicka.
