'Go 4 Glory' kicks off Blue Eagles' 4-peat campaign

MANILA, Philippines - The Ateneo Sports Hall of Fame (ASHOF) will stage a rally in support of the Blue Eagles’ four-peat championship bid named “Go 4 Glory “ at 2 p.m. today at the Blue Eagle gym, Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights Campus.

Bringing back most of last year’s players, the three-peat champion from Loyola will also introduce its talented rookies during the event.

These include guard Kiefer Ravena, the 2010 UAAP Juniors MVP, seven-foot slotman Greg Slaughter, and other former Juniors standouts Gwyanne Capacio, Von Pessumal and BJ Cipriano.

The Blue Eagles will later play a pre-season tune-up game versus the PBA Development League champion team, the NLEX “Road Warriors.”

Ateneo fans will also be treated to fun games such as the three-point shoot-out, two-man challenge and free-throw contest. A P100,000 cash prize also awaits the winner of the half-court shooting contest while a test drive of two brand-new units of the Hyundai Sonata will also be conducted around the gym complex.

Tickets to the event are priced at P100 each. Students can avail themselves of the 50 percent discount upon presentation of their school ID.
