Cheng, Poon top ABC monthly bowl

Manila, Philippines - Jun Cheng of Famcor Glassworks rolled a six-game series of 1345 to capture the Group I crown while Randy Poon of Duraflex TW Wires scored 1126 to bag the Group 2 plum in the Architects Bowling Club’s monthly championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Hermie Prudente of Eurodach finished second with 1342, Dante Manglicmot of Crown Pipes had 1307 for third and Manny Padit of Philflex Wires and Cables came up with 1270 for fourth in the Group I in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Eugene Ferraris of ProActive Pest Control carded a 1114, Edna Beltran of Boysen Suede made a 1098 and Lionel Camillo of Unitec Pipes also had a 1098 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 2.

The tournament, backed by Supreme Steel Pipes, August Alliance, Morning Sun, Concrete Ventures, HCG Phl, Miraga Trade, Crown PVC Pipes, Boysen Perlecente/Knoxout, Firefly-Royu, Duraflex THW.THHN Wires, ABC Phl, DN Steel, Moldex Pipes, Homeworks, Nation Titan, Atlanta Pipes and Emerald Pipes, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the second quarterly championship, also at the Green Valley lanes.
