Tuason riders seek 1-2 finish in GT Championship Series

-

Manila, Philippines - Defending GT125 champion Sean Redpath, Alvin Ng, and Ding Dizon set out today in the third leg of the 2011 Philippine GT Championship Series, hoping to keep Ford Focus-Tuason Racing School’s domination at the Batangas Racing Circuit.

Ng and Redpath seek to deliver another 1-2 finish in the GT130 class while Dizon will be the marked man in the GT100 class.

In the last race at Clark International Speedway, Ng struggled against the top guns to finish fourth overall and capture the GT130 crown.

Redpath, seeking a back-to-back crown, wound up sixth overall and claim the runner-up honors.

Ding Dizon, meanwhile, goes up against Marc Peter Thomann for the GT100 plum.

Ford Focus and TRS were recently cited by the governing Automobile Association of the Philippines for their contributions to the development of Philippine motorsports, particularly circuit racing.

“Ford and TRS have forged a partnership made stronger through the years, bringing in the latest technology and developing new talented drivers that kept Philippine motorsports alive,” said JP Tuason.

“This year is even more challenging but we look forward to continuing the championship tradition that Ford Focus and Tuason Racing School was known for,” he said.

Ford Focus and TRS are backed by Bridgestone, Castrol, Ford, OMP, Oakley, Coke Zero, Dupont, Starbright Bodykits, Rota, Ultraracing, Discovery Suites, Toptul, Speedlab, C! Magazine and Belo Men.
