Fatima, UC dispute Hoop Challenge title

-

MANILA, Philippines -  Our Lady of Fatima and United Cagebelles dispute the women’s title of the Hoops Challenge on June 19 at the Club 650 Sports Center in Libis, Quezon City.

En route to the finals, Our Lady of Fatima feasted on a hapless San Beda College-Alabang, 63-27, while United Cagebelles had a more difficult time with a stubborn Roque-Springmaid squad before prevailing, 64-55, to earn the other finals slot.

Fatima will be led by the tandem of Sharmaine Sicat and Vanessa Villadelgado, but will have to contend with UC’s prolific veteran duo of Marichu Bacaro and Rose Teotico.

In the men’s competition, the University of Asia and the Pacific Dragons lead Division 1 with a 4-0 win-loss slate, closely followed by FDV’s 3-1. In Division 2, co-leaders Pog-G and Ateneo Prada Jrs. carry identical 6-0 records, assuring both teams of twice-to-beat incentives in the semis.

Meanwhile, managing director Tyrone Limon announced that registration is ongoing for the upcoming eighth season in July. For inquiries email: [email protected] or text 0928 5050 747. Interested parties may also visit http://hoopschallenge.multiply.com.
