MANILA, Philippines - Mapua downed Arellano U, 81-74, and National U stunned reigning UAAP champion Ateneo, 84-79, to forge an interesting title showdown in the seniors’ division of the 17th Fr. Martin Summer Cup at the San Beda Gym.

Defending NCAA high school titlist San Beda, in contrast, averted an upset after it walloped La Salle-Zobel, 90-84, to arrange a championship duel with Hope Christian School, which bested San Beda B, 81-74, in this tournament organized by Ato Badolato and Joey Lim.
