-

Manila, Philippines - Young ace karters hope to boost their title bids as the battle for honors shifts to the Boomland Kart Track today in the third leg of the 2011 Petron Karting Super Series at the CCP complex.

Daniel Miranda of Cebuana Lhuillier-Marcelo Racing and lady karter Sacha Feliciano of Fern-C Racing gun for crucial wins that would firm up their quest for honors in this event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) and sponsored by Petron, San Miguel Corp., Denso Iridium Power, Motorstar Eastway and Yokohama Philippines.

Miranda is on top of the ROK Novice class with 140 points as he aims for his third straight triumph against Matthew Chan of Fern-C Racing and CJ Tsui of Tuason Racing School.

Chan is not far behind in second with 119 points while Tsui is third overall with 94.

Feliciano, despite figuring in an incident in the last race, remains the solo leader in the Formula SL Novice class with 130 points and another win would give her bid a big push against Basti Escalante of Tuason Racing School who’s in close second with 104 points.
