World derby finale on at Big Dome

Manila, Philippines - The 2011 World Slashers Cup-2 8-Cock Invitational Derby gets going today, starting at 4 p.m. at the Big Dome, with only seven of 174 entries still unscathed with four wins apiece and seven with three wins and one draw each leading the race for the title. 

Hosted by the Pintakasi of Champions, this event is presented by B-Meg Derby Ace with Thunderbird Enertone as major sponsor. Up front is the Tarlac duo of Bebot Roxas and Peping Cojuangco with their bets Paniqui CAT-1 and Paniqui CAT brandishing 4 points and 3.5 points, respectively.

Also with 4 wins are A. S. Nowitzki (Allan Siaco), Oxford Princess Casino 7-Stag Derby Oct. 16 (Mayor Jose Panganiban), Phoenix Tangub-LZ (Mario Villamor and Louie Zerrudo), Liberator Rachel Mitzki JU (James Uy) and Thunderbird Sabongnation stars Pol Estrellado (P. E. Farm) and tabloid executive Rey Briones (Spartans DR-1).
