Suntrust Cup slated at Sherwood Hills on May 29

MANILA, Philippines- Leading real estate developer Suntrust Properties Inc., in its continuing efforts to showcase the beauty of Jack Nicklaus’ signature course in the country, will host the maiden Suntrust Cup at the Sherwood Hills Golf Club in Trece Martires, Cavite on May 29.

The Suntrust Cup, which is Sherwood Hills’ invitational tournament, aims to bring together Suntrust’s family including clients, partners, and suppliers in one day of fun golf and camaraderie, according to Suntrust president Atty. Harry Paltongan.

“The Suntrust Group is excited with this event. Sherwood Hills is one of the true gems of the South and we want the people to take notice of its beauty by holding the Suntrust Cup,” Paltongan said.

The Suntrust Cup, a three-man scramble event, will have Beneficial-PNB Life Insurance Co., and Trinity Insurance Brokers as event partners. Sagada Const. Dev. Corp., MCS Const. Corp., Davies Paints Phils., Union Galvasteel, Alcon Advertising and MMP Friendly Gift Ideas are platinum sponsors.

Paltongan is also set to announce the new developments Sherwood Hills is undertaking. Among them is the creation of an additional nine holes and the completed air-conditioned function hall fit for 300 people for golf and non-golf events.

In addition, the members’ dependents, especially the young ones, will have their taste of how to play the sport with the upcoming mini-golf facility, a gym, a fishing wharf and a swimming pool which will be in place within the year.
