METTA Cup under way

MANILA, Philippines - National players, led by defending champion Ian Lariba, are competing in the third Metropolitan Table Tennis Association (METTA) Cup starting today at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

National players Henberd Ortalla, Rodel Valle and 2008 Southeast Asian Table Tennis Association men’s table tennis singles open champion Richard Gonzales are among the participants in the event organized by METTA president Ting Ledesma. 

More than 1,500 players have so far enlisted.
