Anton tames tough Circuit Showdown
Manila, Philippines - The Binalonan leg of Circuit Showdown proved to be the most challenging layout to date with cars reaching speeds of over 160 kph on the straights breaking into a series of technical corners, which caused spinouts from a field of over 40 participants.
Experience paid off for Carlos Anton, who clocked in a 52.306, three seconds ahead of Jem Quirimit and Edward dela Rosa for Group A. Group B winners were Alfie Concepcion followed by female driver Nicole Dipasupil and Jessie Magar. Group C wins went to Dwight de la Cruz and 14-year-old Cedric Remo and Cay-Ulrich Torio. Group D winners included Francis Zulueta, Reymund de Vera, and Bong Dacororn.
Group E winners were to Jonathan Guinto, Marben Nazal and Thomas Bautista. In Group F, finishing off the Time Trial brackets but winning nonetheless were Dominique Cardenas, Dennis Manantan and Rodolfo Bildan Jr.
