Ford-TRS seeks another big finish in GT series

-

MANILA, Philippines - Ford Focus-Tuason Racing School (TRS) hopes to pull another big show behind defending champion Sean Redpath and Alvin Ng as the 2011 Philippine GT Championship Series stages its second leg today at the Clark International Raceway.

Redpath and Ng powered the team to a 1-3 finish in the kickoff leg as they try to surpass their feats in the GT130 division powered by Ford Racing, Castrol, Bridgestone, Standard Insurance, OMP, Discovery Suite, Coke Zero, Oakley, Aguila Auto Glass, C!Magazine, Dupont, Starbright Bodykits, Ultra Racing, Speedlab, Toptul, Rota Wheels and K&N.

Redpath, eyeing a back-to-back crown, actually checked in fourth overall in the combined race with Ng coming in sixth to claim third place in the GT130.

The Ford Focus once again teamed up with Tuason Racing School in its thrust to help boost the growth of Philippine motorsports.

Developing top caliber drivers through the years, Tuason Racing kept local car racing alive. Last year alone, Ford-TRS drivers filled up the top six overall spots in the GT125 division led by Redpath, Ding Dizon and Marcus Wong.

Stuart McDonald made it fourth overall with Bobby Noriega and Bobby Horrigan winding up fifth and sixth, respectively.

Ford-TRS likewise dominated the Philippine Production Car Championships with Wong and Redpath capturing the overall champion and runner-up trophies.
