Miranda finally nails down first kart win

MANILA, Philippines - Daniel Miranda of Cebuana Lhuillier-Marcelo Racing finally clinched the ROK Novice crown recently in the second of the 2011 Petron Karting Super Series at the Batangas Racing Circuit in Rosario, Batangas.

Miranda, 12, gave a fierce fight engaging older and more experienced rivals to a close battle to the finish line before winding up third overall in the combined ROK race of this event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) and sponsored by Petron, San Miguel Corporation, Denso Iridium Power, Motorstar Eastway and Yokohama Philippines.

He clocked 12 minutes, 57.350 seconds or just 0.223 seconds behind Brothers VJ and RR Suba of Fern-C Racing to also capture the ROK Overall third place and the ROK Junior runner-up finish.
