Famcor tops ABC Sponsors Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Kathlyn Ong, Jun Cheng and Buddy Segui pooled 2587 to rule the Architects Bowling Club’s fifth week of Sponsors Cup at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

The Morning Sun team of Andrew Frondozo, Tony Sabater and Nepthy del Rosario combined for 2528 to place second while Edwin Laguitan, Ryan Jalandoon and Malou del Rosario of ABC Phils. finished third with a 2478 in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Meanwhile, Frondozo copped the bowler of week honors with a four-game series of 901.

Famcor grabbed the lead with 46 points after five weeks of competitions with ABC Phils. toting 44 points and Morning Sun assembling 40 points followed by Crown Pipes Supreme (38), Firefly (36), Boysen Perlecente (34) and Duraflex TW, Unitec Pipes, Homeworks and Duraflex THW, which all have 32 points.

Action in the tournament, backed by August Alliance, Pro Active Pest Control, Concrete Ventures, HCH Phils., Miraga Trading, Crown Pipes, Eurodach, Boysen Suede/Knoxout/Titan, Philflex Wires, DN Steel, Moldex Pipes, Atlanta Pipes, Emerald Pipes and Philflex Cables, resumes at 7:30 tonight with the holding of the monthly championships at ABC’s new venue at Robinsons’ Malate.
