Cecil Mamiit

One of the country's top active tennis players, Cecil Mamiit began his professional career in 1999 in the US. Three years later, he attained his highest individual ranking in the ATP tour, becoming World No. 72.

Mamiit's extensive career features a silver medal in the men's tournament at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Canada; a bronze medal in the men's singles event at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar; and a bronze medal in the men's doubles at the same meet, partnering with fellow Filipino-American player Eric Taino.

He is a member of the Philippine Davis Cup team and has scored a number of crucial matches for the squad.

As of April 18, 2011, Mamiit's singles ranking is World No. 497.
