Ardina returns to jungolf circuit

-

MANILA, Philippines - Multi-titled Dottie Ardina returns to the ICTSI Jungolf Summer Circuit after a long absence as she leads the field in the second leg beginning tomorrow at the Sherwood Hills Golf Club in Trece Martires, Cavite.

Ardina, who broke out of a slump in grand fashion by winning the individual crown of the prestigious Queen Sirikit Cup, will be making her first appearance after nearly three years in the same circuit where she carved a niche as one of its winningest players ever.

She will be joined in the girls Class A division of the tournament by fellow ICTSI teammates Andie Unson, Sarah Jane Ababa and Sheryll Villasensio as they continue their preparations for their next international assignments.

Reigning Asia-Pacific champion Princess Superal is expected to duel with Daniella Uy, another ICTSI member, in the event backed by Pancake House Group, Terriyaki Boy, Sizzling Pepper, Chevrolet, PAL, Pisanti, Golf Depot, Pacsports, Livescoresph, Duty Free, Coca-Cola, San Miguel Beer, Friends of Jungolf and McDonald’s.

Under Suntrust president and new Sherwood Club president Harrison Paltongan, the host venue is set for major improvements including the total rehabilitation of the golf course not to mention the construction of the main hall, the upgrade of the irrigation system, fencing of the perimeters and completion of the community center for various indoor and outdoor activities.

JGFP chair Gerry Handog said that the return of Ardina should add excitement to the circuit which kicked off last week at Splendido Taal and Royale Tagaytay with Alabang, Aguinaldo and Navy copping the division awards.
