Cebuana leads slo-pitch cast
MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Slo-pitch Softball League (MSSL) unfolds Sunday with PANGAEA Cup champion and MSSL defending titlist Cebuana Lhuillier leading the 2011 Spring Season cast at the Rosario Field in Pasig City.
Out to foil Cebuana Lhuillier’s bid are the Philippine Air Force, Bulacan State University, Meralco, Pera Padala and BYOB.
Air Force will be led by pitcher Col. Dionioso Robles and Joselito Zantua along with national players Vio Roxas, Ernesto Binarao and Sid Abello while Bulacan State will parade its college standouts backed by national player-coach Melvin Villegas and Charlie Cano.
“The entry of these teams will level the playing field as some very good players will be spread out to the new teams,” said Jean Henri Lhuillier, playing-owner of Cebuana Lhuillier and ASAPHIL president.
