NCA derby on at Ynares

MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance holds another derby tonight with a crack field, led by the country’s leading breeders, vying for top honors at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig City.

Hosted by Mayor Boyet Joson of Nueva Ecija and Danny and Joel Teves, the derby features the top entries of Mayor Romy Castro, Bong Pineda, Atong Ang, Mayor Cesar Dy, Rep. Tarzan Lazatin, Rey Manalansan, Engr. Tuaño, Nes Vendebille and Voltaire Chua of Nueva Ecija, Mayor Urduña of Pangasinan, Gov. Vic Yap, Claude Bautista of Davao, JV Magsaysay of Zambales and Ramon Preza.

Also in the event, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor, are NCA mainstays Vice Mayor Goto and Bebot Uy, Ferdie Eusebio, Eddie Gonzales, Patrick Antonio, Tommy Chua and Osang dela Cruz, Gerry Ramos, Elmer Nepomuceno, Rene Medina, Manny and Armand Santos, Bebot Roxas and Ruel Ricafort.

Meanwhile, the race for the Cocker of the Year heats up with Against All Odds and Jade Resort II sharing the lead with 36 points. SF San Roque Cockpit has 33 1/2 points while Goldquest Champions, Imax and Magnefor tote 33, 33 and 30 1/2 points, respectively.
