Fencing summer camps start April
MANILA, Philippines - Vicious Brainiac Fencing (VBF), a fencing gear company run by local enthusiasts of the sport, will hold a series of summer sabre fencing camps beginning next month in various venues in the metropolis.
Fencing is an aerobic and tactical sport, which puts emphasis on speed, agility and reflexes and less on brute strength. It also provides a rigorous workout for both body and mind.
The camp at Celebrity Sports Plaza in Quezon City will start on April 5 and held every Tuesday and Friday from 10-11:30 a.m. till May 20.
The clinics at Diliman Preparatory School, Commonwealth, QC is slated April 12-May 27, also on Tuesdays and Fridays, 1:30-3 p.m., while St. Bridget School will hold the camp on April 11-May 26 on Mondays and Thursdays from 10-11:30 a.m.
The clinics at Keys Grade School, Mandaluyong City, on the other hand, will be held April 4-May 20 on Mondays and Wednesdays, also from 10-11:30 a.m.
The organizers said each camp will have a mini-tournament at the end of the session.
