Manny all set for hard sparring
BAGUIO , Philippines – Manny Pacquiao is reaching peak form barely nine days into his training camp with chief trainer Freddie Roach putting accent on the world No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter’s right hand punch.
“We have developed and improved my right hand for so long and I’m happy it goes well with my left (hand),” said Pacquiao in Filipino.
No less than Top Rank boss Bob Arum was impressed with the progress of his ward’s training that he even said Pacquiao is already ready to slug it out with Shane Mosley any day now.
The fight is set May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
“My condition is getting better and better,” said Pacquiao. “I have acclimatized and I’ll be ready at the start of my sparring sessions next week.”
His sparmates – Shawn Porter and David Rodela – have actually arrived the other day, ready to slug it out with the Filipino icon.
Sparring will start Tuesday with Thursday and Saturday as the other sessions.
