Lions, Lady Falcons reign in Martin Cup

-

MANILA, Philippines - Reigning NCAA titlist San Beda showed its mastery over Jose Rizal and hammer out a masterful 76-62 victory over the weekend to nail their second straight title in 7th Fr. Martin Collegiate Open Cup at the Arellano U Gym.

St. Benilde, for its part, drew strength from the prolific Jennifer Mayol, who uncorked 14 of her 23 points in the second half to power the Lady Falcons to a 62-57 triumph over Adamson U and into the women’s crown.

American behemoth Sudan Daniel paced the Lions, who completed a historic 18-game sweep of last year’s NCAA season to help propel the school to the overall championship, by pouring all his 14 points in the final half of this event backed by Molten and gameface.ph and organized by Ato Badolato and Joey Lim with Aric del Rosario as commissioner.
