Forest Hills takes solo lead in Ladies Fed
MANILA, Philippines - Forest Hills swept its series with Manila Southwoods after a 2.5-1.5 home victory for the solo lead in Week 2 of the Ladies Federation League eliminations at various courses recently.
Following a 3-1 win at Southwoods last week, the Forest ladies chalked up their second win with Cristine Lava-Cathy Fong taking the high-low point and Grace Atienza-Cecille Tan prevailing in aggregate while Nelda Roguel-Jee Cabochan forced a draw in greensomes.
Riviera and Valley bounced back from their losses with emphatic wins while the return match between Sta. Elena and Tagaytay Highlands ended in another 2-2 draw.
Valley stunned defending champion Alabang, 3-1, with three blowout victories while Riviera banked on a close victory in high-low to pull off a 3-1 result over Orchard.
Sandy Romualdez-Totelle Dimson (high-low) and Olive Yoon-Farah Imperial (best-ball) won for Highlands but it was Sta. Elena’s Carmela Lee and Nancy Ortiga who saved the draw when they took the aggregate format. Sta. Elena got its other point in greensomes.
